Campenot Nerve Culture System
Tyler Research manufactures a range of Campenot series nerve growth chambers. Below is a visual listing of the models currently available with prices in US funds.

All dividers are machined from virgin Teflon and will last for years if properly maintained. Many of these styles are in stock or can be produced relatively quickly in response to an order. Alternatively you may wish to provide a drawing that Tyler Research will program and cut to your specifications. The programming charge is $55.00, with cells provided at a unit cost based on material used and the time required to cut and polish. You can get a good idea of your chamber's cost by comparing your design to those above.
A review paper describing the technique is "Compartment culture analysis of nerve growth" in Cell-Cell Interactions: A Practical Approach, B. Stevenson, D. Paul and W. Gallin, eds., Oxford University Press 1992, pp. 275-298. This describes the tools necessary to perform the procedure.

The pin rake (CAMP-PR) required for controlled scratching of the collagen/plastic surface to promote directed growth is available for $268. It consists of a precisely aligned array of stainless steel pins in a ceramic holder. Syringe cell disruptors (CAMP-CD) are available for $196 each; stainless steel luer-lok syringe grease loaders (CAMP-GLSS) are $395 each.
